All libraries have access to popular reference books and materials for using in the library.
The following resources are available online to library members in North Ayrshire by using your library card number (P0000....) from your home or library computer:
Credo Reference - 100 different reference works including Encyclopaedias, Dictionaries, Biographies, Quotations, Bilingual Dictionaries, Crossword Solver and Measurement Conversions.
Britannica Junior (age group 5 to 11) - access only from home and your local library.
Britannica Student (age group 12 to 18)- access only from home and your local library.
Encyclopaedia Britannica (age 18+)- access only from home and your local library.
UK Newstand is an online service developed to provide international, national and regional news, combining the most popular British newspaper titles in one database. Please enter your library card number: NAP********.
SCRAN - search this fantastic picture database in your local library or with access from the comfort of your own home from here by selecting North Ayrshire from the drop-down menu and inserting your library card number.
