The ERS has produced a range of resources to support pupils as they engage in library and information-related activities. This encompasses search and retrieval skills in the library working with the library databases and the classification scheme, and web-based information activities focussed upon the ERS website.

The ERS has also developed an interactive book review area on the website to encourage reading and literacy skills. The exchange of information and views on a range of books will encourage the development of literacy in pupils who have been exposed to the advantages of the early intervention resources in P1, P2 and P3.

This is an area where further development is planned to develop both the information skills activities in the library and the range of resources and skills applicable to the website.
