ERS Guide to

The Education Resource service at Greenwood Centre provides a range of Continuing Professional Development (CPD) resources to support Early Literacy. These resources have been acquired to support the National Early Intervention Initiative, and to support a number of modules and in-service courses which have been delivered in Greenwood Centre. These resources can be borrowed by staff within North Ayrshire for a normal loan period of one month. Visit the Centre or contact us by telephone or e-mail.
The ERS is currently responsible for the selection and organisation of "Nursery Book Boxes" to nursery schools in North Ayrshire, and for "Book Boxes" to P1, P2 and P3 classes in primary schools. These resources are selected on the grounds of quality and suitability for young children, and provide a variety of texts to supplement schools' own resources throughout the year.
