How do I join the library?

Where do I get a form?
Forms are available from your local library. If you are under 16 you will have to have your parents/carers (including grandparents/other relatives aged over 16) come to the library to complete one for you.

What proof of ID will be needed?
Two proofs of ID are required. We will need official proof of your address. Items such as a drivers licence and utility bills will be fine. Parents of children under 16 years old will need to provide the same.

How much does it cost to join the library?
It is free to join the library. There is a minimal cost to replace a ticket if you have lost one and some of the items have a minimal hire charge. Children under 12 do not get fined if their book is late.

What Can I borrow?
Up to six items: fiction books, non-fiction books, graphic novels, CDs*, DVDs* and PS2 games* and talking books. *aged 12 or over, but only 2 at a time. PS2 games 1 at a time.

Can I use the computers?
If you are over 9 you will need to have your parents complete a computer consent form. These are available from your local library. Children under 9 need to have a parent present while using the computer.
